Trust Rounders Tournament 2023
On Tuesday the 23rd of May 2023, five schools from our Trust participated in our annual Trust Rounders Tournament. The event took place at Saint George’s Church of England School and involved Year 5 and 6 pupils from Stone St Mary's Church of England Primary School, St Botolph’s Church of England Primary School, Rosherville Church of England Primary, Halling Primary School and Holy Trinity Church of England Primary School.
The aim of the tournament was for pupils to develop and build upon the skills they’ve been learning in their individual schools, to build healthy competition between all schools in the Trust and to create a sense of community. The points gained by each team will count towards their overall points for the Trust cup, which will be awarded after Trust Sports Day on the 10th of July 2023.
The tournament was organised by Miss Cutler and the Saint George’s PE Department with the help of teachers from the schools who umpired the games.
Each team displayed great athleticism and sportsmanship. The results were as follows:
1st Place - Stone St Mary's Church of England Primary School - 23.5 rounders
2nd Place - St Botolph's Church of England Primary School - 22.5 rounders
3rd Place - Rosherville Church of England Primary - 13.5 rounders
4th place - Halling Primary School
5th Place - Holy Trinity Church of England Primary School
