Aletheia Academies Trust At Young Voices 2024
The pupils of Aletheia Academies Trust joined thousands of pupils from schools around the country at the Young Voices Concert at the O2 in London on Friday 19th January 2024.
This annual assembly is the largest children choir in the world, presenting a fantastic opportunity to sing songs and explore music from different cultures and genres.
Pupils and staff from Saint George's C of E Primary Phase, Horton Kirby C of E Primary School, Rosherville C of E Primary Academy, St. Botolph's C of E Primary School, Shorne C of E Primary School, Stone St. Mary's C of E Primary School, Sutton-at-Hone C of E Primary School, Holy Trinity C of E Primary School, Cliffe Woods Primary School, Halling Primary School and Sedley's C of E Primary School, as well as representatives from the Trust Central Team attended this year’s event.
The concert was opened by the choir led by conductor, David Lawrence with a brilliant Overture, after which they performed a selection of choral favourites including a Moana Mashup, Arirang, Matilda Medley and a spectacular finale, River Deep, Mountain High. This year marks a significant milestone for Mr Lawrence who celebrates his 25-year anniversary of conducting for Young Voices.
There were also guest performances from MC Grammar and 13-year-old Drummer, Musician and Social Media personality, Nandi Bushell.
It was a great learning experience and an absolute blast for all the children and adults who represented the Trust.
